Elizabeth Gilbert: A Rock Star Author
McCaw HallLecture
4/14/2019 7:30 PM

Elizabeth is best known for her 2006 memoir “Eat, Pray, Love”, which chronicled her journey alone around the world, looking for solace after a difficult divorce. In 2010, “Eat, Pray, Love” was made into a film starring Julia Roberts. The book became so popular that Time Magazine named Elizabeth as one of the 100 most influential people in the world.

In 2010, Elizabeth published a follow-up to “Eat, Pray, Love” called, ”Committed” — a memoir which explored her ambivalent feelings about the institution of marriage. Her latest novel, “The Signature of All Things”, published 2013, is a sprawling tale of 19th century botanical exploration. O Magazine named it “the novel of a lifetime”.

Today, Gilbert lives in New York, where she is a columnist for O, The Oprah Magazine. Her new novel, about New York City showgirls in the 1940s, is out in fall 2019.   Don’t miss an evening with one of the greatest writers of our times.  Elizabeth will dig deep into her own generative process and share her wisdom and unique life stories.

In addition to ELIZABETH GILBERT, the below speakers are a part of this exciting series:
