| A Glimpse of China - Chinese Culture and Arts Festival |

Enter a virtual Chinese garden and partake in cultural traditions covering 5,000 years of Chinese history in this celebration of one of the world’s oldest cultures. The festival showcases the unique traditional art and culture of China through visual and performing arts and gift booth exhibitions including Chinese music, dance, Wushu performances, works by nationally acclaimed artists, seminars and interactive activities. Presented by the Washington Chinese Art Culture Committee.

COLORS OF THE CHINESE CULTURE: Red, yellow and gold. MOST POPULAR FOODS: Rice, noodles and steamed dumplings. GREATEST SOURCE OF CULTURAL PRIDE: Education and hard work. LIVELIHOOD: China is a large nation. The main source of livelihood for old China is agriculture, but new China depends on many sources including agriculture, textiles and apparel, consumer products, manufacturing, trade, commerce, finance, science and technology, arts, entertainment, mining and ore processing.

Seattle Center Festál, a series of 22 world festivals presented at Seattle Center on weekends throughout 2010, highlights the distinct cultures and common threads of ethnic communities in our region through traditional and contemporary art, music, foods, youth activities, workshops and more.
