Aloha
The Live Aloha Hawaiian Cultural Festival provides a feast for the senses as visitors journey through the sights, sounds and tastes of Hawaii with workshops, Hawaiian crafts, keiki-activities, exhibits and ono food. Join many of the over 50,000 Hawaiian Islanders who call Washington their home as they share their homeland’s colorful history through live performances of the hula and mele. Presented by the Live Aloha Hawaiian Cultural Festival Committee.

COLORS OF THE HAWAIIAN CULTURE: The Hawaiian state flag colors are red, white and blue, however, red and gold are more truly traditional Hawaiian colors and signify Hawaiian royalty. MOST POPULAR FOODS: Kalua pig, rice and spam. Traditional Hawaiian foods include laulau, kalua pig, and poi. Current popular foods include influences from Asian cultures including rice and spam. GREATEST SOURCE OF CULTURAL PRIDE: The Aloha spirit. LIVELIHOOD: Traditionally, whaling - now agriculture (sugarcane, pineapples, macadamia nuts, coffee), hula/music, apparel, tourism, military.
