Fun Forest Amusements Park departed from the north area of the Fun Forest at the end of 2009, consolidating its operations in the south "Kiddie Ride" area and arcade through Labor Day 2010.
Fun Forest south continues to offer rides for kids and thrill seekers alike. It features the Entertainment Pavilion, open daily year-round with three rides, laser tag, mini-golf, prize games and a full video arcade.

The Fun Forest move out of the north area opens options for uses of the space that complement the Seattle Center vision, mission and goals of creating open space, free and affordable community-oriented activities and earth-friendly places on the Seattle Center campus.

Late last year Seattle Center issued a Request for Proposals to activate and enliven the north area of the Fun Forest (Jan. 18 submissions deadline), and it will consider a broad range of proposals for temporary new attractions and events. The selected projects/activities will occupy the space during the period of May 2010 to Dec. 2011. In Jan. 2012, Seattle Center will begin preparing for the six-month celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the 1962 Seattle World's Fair.

Check back here for a schedule of slected temporary events and activities.
