The Seattle Center Pavilion is a versatile 13,600 square foot two-room building with a common lobby and restrooms, providing exhibit and trade-show space for 60 booths. The rooms, which may be used together or separately, each feature built-in sound systems and controlled lighting.

Room A is a perfect setting for large functions accommodating 500 banquet guests and 450-800 guests in classroom and theater set-ups respectively. An expansive front wall of windows and 20’ ceilings enhance the open atmosphere of this 8,300 square foot room. The addition of portable free-standing white walls offer an excellent option for decorating, mounting exhibits and creating distinct areas.

Room B, which includes an adjacent utility room, adds another 5,300 square feet of space. This room hosts 450 theater style, 250 classroom style and 300 in a banquet set-up for events requiring mid-size space.

Seattle Center Pavilion History

Built for the 1962 World’s Fair, this building housed the display on Great Britain and was surrounded by the “International Plaza.” In 1965 the Seattle Art Museum located at Volunteer Park, used the space for large, traveling exhibits. The most famous of these exhibits was the King Tut exhibit in 1978, which has been credited as replenishing the treasury of the Seattle Art Museum. The Seattle Art Museum has since moved into a new beautiful museum located in downtown Seattle. The Seattle Center Pavilion is currently used primarily for community festivals and long-term exhibits.
