Movin’ Around the World: Celebrating the Cultures of the World Through Movement and Song
February 16 – 22, 11am – 2:30pm & April 6 – 12, 11am – 2:30pm inside Seattle Center Armory
Movin’ Around the World is a week-long program that takes place in February and April, featuring a different cultural community from the Pacific Northwest each day. These programs are scheduled over Seattle Public School’s breaks to better involve Northwest families. Youth, parents, and families are invited to participate through dancing, music-making and hands-on activities in the Seattle Center Armory, learning directly from and being inspired by master tradition bearers and youth ensembles. Kids can learn a dance, make crafts, sing a song, and get better acquainted with some of the cultural communities that make up Our Big Neighborhood.

Global Playground
August 3, 10 & 17, 2pm – 5pm at the Artists at Play playground
The perfect urban summertime activity, Global Playground mixes cultural connectivity with outdoor play. Local bands provide a musical backdrop to keep you moving, playing, and learning!
