Applications are reviewed on a first come-first served basis. Once an application is processed, an offer for a performance date/time will be emailed to the applicant. The offer will become invalid if it is not confirmed/accepted within 7 calendar days. It is your responsibility to notify us if your email address or any other contact information changes.
When you arrive, please ask your group to remain orderly and stay together. Please be mindful that Seattle Center House is a public gathering place, and other performances and/or events may be occurring when you arrive.
All groups are expected to be respectful and adhere to any instructions given by the Event Coordinator or other Seattle Center staff. Failure to do so may result in the denial of future performances.
The Event Coordinator will coordinate the technical set-up based on the information that you have provided as required – including chairs, music stands, risers, microphones, monitors, etc. Any changes should be provided to Seattle Center Productions at least one week in advance. The Event Coordinator may not be able to accommodate last-minute requests.
For band and orchestra performances, a Stage Set-up Diagram is strongly recommended and must be submitted at least one week prior to your performance. We may not be able to accommodate set-up requests made the day of the performance. Note: We will do our best to accommodate your needs, however, there is no guarantee that we can fully comply withyour request as the stage must be configured to best accommodate many performances each day.
You will only be responsible for setting up the items you bring with you – instruments, gymnastics equipment, etc. Please do not attempt to rearrange items provided by Seattle Center that the Event Coordinator has set-up for you. If changes are desired, please notify the Event Coordinator. Seattle Center is a Union house and all changes must be made by the Event Coordinator or Seattle Center crews.Be aware that bands/orchestras are often placed on the floor as the stage space is not always large enough to accommodate their needs.
A limited number of dressing rooms are available for use by performing groups, and Seattle Center will make every effort to accommodate your group. Generally one room is assigned per group. Your assigned dressing room is only available starting 15 minutes before your performance and must be vacated 15 minutes following your performance.
Coats, costumes, instrument cases, and other personal belongings must be stored in the dressing room(s) during your performance. They may not be left on the stage, in the audience seating area, or anywhere on the Center House floor at any time.
You will need to take all instruments, props, costumes, etc. with you when your performance is over. Unfortunately, we have NO capacity for storage before or after your performance. Should you arrive early, please be aware that we will not be able to receive your equipment until 15 minutes before your performance.
Remember, we host many student groups during the Student Showcase Series, so be sure to keep your equipment, instruments, etc. together and organized so that another group doesn’t end up with your instrument in their band room. In the event you do misplace an item belonging to your group, lost and found is located at the Information Booth on the 3rd Floor.
