PICK OF THE WEEK

Behind the Scenes: The Real Story of the Quileute Wolves @ Seattle Art Museum | DOWNTOWN | Wed - Sun 10 - 5, Thu & Fri 10 - 9, Mon&Tue closed | more info

In 2008, the Quileute were thrust into the public spotlight with the release of the popular film Twilight that depicts the Quileute as werewolves opposite a coven of vampires with which they have an ancient treaty. This is the first exhibition on historic Quileute art and seeks to provide an authentic, first-person account of the “real Quileute wolves.” Our reviewer, Alyssa T, says "If not for this review, I sadly can’t say I would have given the Quileute culture my time and consideration, which is distressing, since their culture fully deserves the description of “beautiful.” Taking time to soak in the collection refreshingly left me more fascinated than I have been in a long while."
