Movies at the Mural Presented by Prime Video Swaps in New Masters of the Universe for August 21 Screening

Free Outdoor Film Series at Seattle Center Updates Final Movie of the Summer Series to the 2026 Reboot

WHAT: Movies at the Mural Presented by Prime Video is swapping its August 21 screening from the 1987 original to the new Masters of the Universe (2026), closing out the season’s free outdoor film series at Seattle Center’s Mural Amphitheatre. A special thanks to Prime Video for making this newly released feature available for viewing at our final show of the season.

Masters of the Universe (2026), August 21 – After being separated for 15 years, the Sword of Power leads Prince Adam back to Eternia where he discovers his home shattered under the fiendish rule of Skeletor. To save his family and his world, Adam must join forces with his closest allies, Teela and Duncan/Man-At-Arms, and embrace his true destiny as He-Man — the most powerful man in the universe. Rated PG-13; runs 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Also joining the lineup for the remaining showings is Ma & Pops, as they will now be giving away free popsicles while supplies last for the August 7 Hamilton, August 14 Coco, and August 21 Masters of the Universe screenings. Moviegoers are invited to picnic on the Mural Amphitheatre’s gently sloping lawn with the Space Needle as a backdrop. Food and beverages will be available in the Seattle Center Armory Food & Event Hall, as well as at food carts on the Seattle Center grounds. Seating is first-come, first-served.
