Let's Play SEA '26 - World Soccer Fan Celebration Kicks Off Thursday, June 11 at Seattle Center
Shared Viewing, Cultural Procession, Live Performances & Full Day of Programming Welcome Fans to SEA ’26
Seattle, WA - Seattle Center kicks off LET’S PLAY SEA ’26 – WORLD SOCCER FAN CELEBRATION on Thursday, June 11, marking the official start of Seattle Center’s 39 days of fan celebrations, viewing experiences, and programming which that create a welcoming place for fans to gather, connect, and experience the excitement of the game together.
The Armory Food & Event Hall serves as the daily indoor viewing hub, with expanded outdoor viewing at the Mural Amphitheatre on select match days. KEXP Gathering Space will also host viewing for select matches.
Opening day begins with a cultural procession hosted by Mundo Catrina, followed by a full slate of performances, remarks, and match viewing.

Cultural Procession – Hosted by Mundo Catrina
The day begins with a parade beginning around 10:15 a.m. on Mercer Street near the Nesholm Theatre entrance at McCaw Hall. The procession will move down Mercer Street, entering the Seattle Center campus, circling KEXP and Cornish Playhouse, passing the International Fountain, and concluding near the south doors of the Armory Food & Event Hall.
All day: Visual art on display by Museo Diego Rivera, Javier Hinojosa, Eileen Jimenez, René Julio, and Victor Melendez
10:00 a.m.: Mexican Cultural Videos by El Instituto Mexicano de Cinematografia and Diplomacia Cultural Mexico.
10:15 a.m.: Cultural Procession begins
10:30 a.m.: Mariachi Guadalajara de Seattle performance | Armory
11:25 a.m.: Land Acknowledgment & Welcome Remarks by Seattle Center Director Randy Engstrom | Armory
11:30 a.m.: Mexican Consul Víctor Hugo López Ortega | Armory
11:35 a.m.: Video by ByFrame LLC + Mexican National Anthem by Amelia Caballero | Armory
11:40 a.m.: Broadcast begins | Armory
12 p.m.: South Africa vs. Mexico | Armory & KEXP
5 p.m.: DJ Set by KEXP DJ Supreme LaRock | Armory
7 p.m.: Czechia vs. Korea | Armory
