Movies at the Mural Presented by Prime Video Announces Summer Outdoor Movie Line-up

Seattle Center offers free weekly family-friendly movies from July 25 to August 22

SEATTLE, WA – The popular outdoor movie series — Movies at the Mural Presented by Prime Video — is back this summer at Seattle Center’s Mural Amphitheatre for five weeks beginning July 25.

Moviegoers are invited to picnic on the Mural Amphitheatre’s gently sloping lawn at the best outdoor movie setting in Seattle.

Food and beverages will be available in the Seattle Center Armory Food & Events Hall, as well as at food carts on the Seattle Center grounds before the start of each showing.

This year’s series features five film favorites, both classic and contemporary, which are fun for all ages, shown on a 40-foot state-of-the-art screen. Each screening will be preceded by a short film created by students at Cornish College of the Arts at Seattle University and alumni of the UW Professional & Continuing Education's (PCE) Film & Video Production certificate program. Movies begin at dusk (about 9 p.m.)

Ratatouille, July 25 – Presented in partnership with Bite of Seattle (July 25-27), this beloved Pixar flick follows the unlikely alliance between a culinary-skilled rat and a young kitchen worker at a famous Paris restaurant. Rated G; runs 1 hour and 51 minutes.

• The Princess Bride, August 1 – This beloved Movies at the Mural staple blends comedy, adventure, romance, and fantasy, and comes complete with all the fencing, chasing, escapes, silly accents, and rodents of unusual size, audiences have come to expect. Rated PG; runs 1 hour and 38 minutes.

• E.T. The Extra Terrestrial, August 8 – In this 1982 Spielberg classic, a young boy and his siblings discover a stranded gentle alien and work together to keep its existence a secret before government intervention turns things awry. Rated PG; runs 2 hours.

• Say Anything, August 15 – In a critically acclaimed tale of first love, a noble underachiever and a beautiful valedictorian fall in love the summer before she goes off to college. Rated PG-13; runs 1 hour and 40 minutes.

• Wicked, August 22 – Misunderstood and green-skinned Elphaba and pink and popular Glinda forge a profound friendship at Shiz University. After an encounter with the Wonderful Wizard of Oz, their friendship reaches a crossroads. Rated PG; runs 2 hours and 40 minutes.

The film series is presented by Prime Video with support from official sponsors including Coors Light, Ticketmaster, T-Mobile and Truly. The movies are free, and seating is first-come, first-served.
