Welcome to Seattle Center
This World Cup, fans can look to the sky to catch the score for matches hosted in Seattle, through a first-ever drone scoreboard. Created by Visit Seattle, this futuristic scoreboard aims to change the fan experience forever.
Spectators will see the scoreboard in the sky each night of Seattle’s six matches (beginning June 15). Each team’s final score will be displayed with their country’s flag at the end of the match. The display will light the Seattle skyline, appearing alongside the Space Needle, one of the city’s most famous landmarks. A rendering is available here.
Visit Seattle, the destination marketing organization for Seattle, developed the drone scoreboard as a way to showcase the city’s spirit of innovation, strong sports fandom, and iconic skyline, in collaboration with our partners at Seattle Center, the Local Organizing Committee and Sky Elements.
The drone scoreboard will be live the night of each match. Seattle’s hosted matches include:
Mon, June 15: Belgium vs. Egypt
Fri, June 19: USA vs. Australia
Wed, June 24: Bosnia and Herzegovina vs. Qatar
Fri, June 26: Egypt vs. IR Iran
Wed, July 1: Round of 32
Mon, July 6: Round of 16
