Welcome to Seattle Center
As Winterfest presented by Symetra comes to an end, celebrate our final event on New Year’s Eve. Seattle Center is the place to be for our free New Year’s Eve Celebration offers entertainment and festivities across our grounds. Pop by the Armory between 8pm and midnight and hear the soulful sounds of premier Northwest band The Blue Wave. At 10pm, head out to International Fountain for a Fountain of Light show featuring DJ Baby Van Beezley.
Just before midnight, find your spot outside to view Alaska Airlines New Year’s at the Needle, the Space Needle’s pyrotechnic extravaganza.
This is the city’s place to be on New Year’s Eve!

An exclusion zone will be in place for public safety purposes related to live fireworks. Visitors should expect progressively limited access to the grounds from entryways in the vicinity of the Space Needle beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 31.
Seattle Center Monorail service will be available to connect to downtown transit services and parking on the following schedule: in service until 11pm; out of service for safety purposes related to live fireworks, 11pm-12:20am (approximately). The final monorail train will depart Seattle Center for downtown at 1am. Passengers must access the Monorail via the southwest doors of the Armory.
Seattle Center Armory will be open on New Year’s Eve, and eateries inside the Food & Event Hall will provide service until 11:30pm. The building will remain open through 1am to accommodate Seattle Center Monorail riders and those in need of a rest room stop.
We expect heavy pedestrian and vehicle congestion in the Seattle Center surrounding area related to the several New Year's Eve free and ticketed events on the grounds. Consider all your transportation options if you are planning a visit to the area, and prepare for a long commute home after the fireworks.
